Yesterday was a really fantastic day, although I am so tired now!
I did an all day photoshoot with the fabulous Helen Ward (an insanely talented illustrator and general all round awesomely creative chick - check out her blog at www.birdface.net) and her hubby, fantastic graphic designer Tim Ward. I first found this fab couple when researching alternative weddings in Bristol on Google and the results came up with their wedding as featured on Offbeat Bride (great website - check it out!). I immediately loved Helen’s gorgeous lime green wedding dress and bright red shoes, and all the amazing details she’d organised for their wedding at the Paintworks. I got in touch with her and she’s been really kind in introducing me to some of Bristol’s most arty and interesting wedding suppliers, including Gilly Woo Couture who lent us the amazing white wedding dress you see in the photos below. Helen’s green wedding dress, which she wore on her actual wedding day a year and a half ago is by Clifton Village based designer Daniela Benson.
For the shoot we hijaked Paintworks’ event space (with permission!) where their wedding took place and then headed down to Bristol docks for some vintage railway action.
Thank you to the fab multi-skilled Laila Hoegseth Pettersen who did a great job with both hair and makeup on the day, to Paintworks for letting us shoot in their event space, to Tim and Helen for being such great models and also to my favourite Bristol florists Bella & Fifi who created two absolutely stunning bridal bouquets for the shoot.
Here are a few images that I really like, I will try and upload a few more in the coming days as I finish editing them!
