You may have noticed it’s been rather slow on here of late… well now to tell you why! I’ve been working on my new look - I’m now calling myself Rosie Parsons Photography instead of Forever After Images and I have a whole new website and look to show you!
All existing clients won’t notice any change except you’ll have a new funky brochure heading your way in the next couple of weeks, and my email address is now rosie@rosieparsons.com (but I will still be checking my other accounts!).
So just to warn you, this blog will no longer be updated as from today - so head on over to www.rosieparsons.com and www.rosieparsons.com/blog to join in all the action!

The Beetle & Wedge near Goring was the location for Adam and Carla’s lovely waterside wedding on Saturday. The whole day including the ceremony was held at the venue, right on the river Thames.
To be able to have the outdoors ceremony Carla and Adam had to officially get wed at the register office earlier in the morning, but that meant that they could then have the unofficial wedding wherever they liked. Plus I was allowed to shoot throughout the ceremony and the registrars were really nice and relaxed which made it extra nice for me!
Carla’s theme for the day was sunflowers and they really brightened the place everywhere the guests went, very cheerful! It was also being great right next to the river seeing all the boats go past with people waving, and the gorgeous swans with their baby signets who came to say hello!
I must also mention Carla’s amazing Mum Ana (who runs Silva Cakes) - she not only made the wedding cake, but also Carla’s stunning wedding dress! I could not believe my ears when Carla told me! What a talented mum!

My cousin Joy was ordained into the Church of England on Saturday at St Paul’s Cathedral, London. It was really nice to be back at the Cathedral (I photographed James and Steph’s wedding there last year) and especially great to be celebrating this very special day with my Mum’s side of the family. We also bumped into quite a few friends from when we lived in Oxford as well which was fun!

I’d never been to Edinburgh before, so it was rather exciting to head North… and North…. and then North some more (!) to Scotland for Neal and Miho’s fab wedding at Edinburgh’s stunning wedding venue The Hub, right in the old centre of the city by the castle.

Just a quick blog post to say how sad and shocked I am to hear that Michael Jackson has died today. I really can’t believe it - I mean I know we all die one day, but when I was growing up I was such a big fan of his. It seems very strange to be in a world without him!

Hey all,
I’m about to start my journey to Edinburgh for Neal and Miho’s wedding (fortunately I have kind cousins letting me stay with them half way into 7 hour drive!) and will have very limited internet access, so may not be contactable til Monday. Feel free to still drop me an email though (rosie@foreverafterimages.com) and...

My latest wedding was a stunning Saturday afternoon at Le Manoir Aux Quat Saisons near Oxford. What a venue! Owned by Raymond Blanc, this has to be one of my most favourite places to shoot ever. The gardens are absolutely stunning and they change so much with the seasons. The last time I photographed here I was doing a model shoot in October. The gardens were full of fiery reds and oranges and there were pumpkins dotted around the gardens. Now it’s summer, and the beautiful purple lavender is out in full bloom (I wish it was so successful in my own garden!).
Ruth looked absolutely amazing in her beautiful grecian style dress and I loved the peonies that made her colourful bouquet. She also had decorated the church with fabulous flowers - such a great colour scheme!

After a week of blissful sunshine I couldn’t believe the downpour that started the day off for Susie and Dan’s Hungerford wedding at the beautiful Littlecote House Hotel!
I had a backup plan in mind, but fortunately the rain eased off just as I arrived at the Bear Hotel in Hungerford to shoot Susie’s getting ready photos. I love shooting at the Bear Hotel, especially in the bridal suite because of the fab black and white flock wallpaper and bright pink bed - just gorgeous!

Oh my goshness! I got the most amazing wedding invite through the post this morning from one of my September brides, the lovely Marshella. Shella and Derek are having a travel theme for their wedding and their invitations were handcrafted with love and evidently lots of thought. I love it when my brides are so creative!
Their wedding is happening in Henley on Thames, so Shella had done an “Unlonely Planet” guide to the area - witty and useful, I love it! There were also loads of other fun little bits and pieces: I just had to take some pics because they are so much fun - thanks Shella and can’t wait to shoot your wedding later this year!!

Kate and Jonathan had a beautiful sunny day for their fab wedding in Newbury a couple of weekends ago.
The church was a bit scarily completely covered in scaffolding - which did provide some last minute stresses for the couple, especially as it didn’t even have an internal floor the week leading up to the big day. Last minute alternative plans were scurried together just incase there would be no aisle for Kate to walk down, but fortunately it all came together in the end and despite the strange outside appearance of the church building it looked great inside!
