In some small way, I’m still a rebel at heart - so although I didn’t get to indulge my oh so anarchic whims at my own wedding, I did finally get to have some fun by organising a bridal fashion shoot in Bristol on Monday. Luckily I had some willing participants in the form of the fabulous makeup artist Sarah Brock, hairstylist extraordinaire Becky Simpson, wedding flowers from gorgeous Bristol florists Bella&Fifi, helpful assistant / husband Lee and beauties Haruka and Vashti to model for me. Thank you also to Flo & Percy vintage tiaras for the stunning bridal jewellery and the very patient Bocabar at Paintworks who let us take over a couple of tables to do the girls’ makeup!

On Monday I had the delight of discovering amazing boutique Sage Inspired by Life on Bristol’s Gloucester Road which is run by the lovely Becky Sage. An amazing little gem of a shop, it is filled with the most unique and individual must haves!

I just stumbled across the amazing website - IndieBride.com with fab forums for brides planning on unique and creative weddings. I got lost in there for hours looking at photos from beautiful celebrations in both America and the UK. So much inspiration - wish I’d have known about it when I got married!

I’m so sad! I was planning a funky bridal fashion shoot for Monday in Bristol, but with the crazy snow and my car skidding everywhere I think we may have to postpone! I dropped hubby Lee off at his work this morning and a car on the opposite side of the road slid on some ice and did a full circle almost right into my car - yikes! Also been seeing lots of slipping and sliding from other places around the country on youtube.
