hotel du vin, bristol { photoshoot }
I’d been in Bristol’s gorgeous Hotel Du Vin a few times before and knew it would make a stunning backdrop for a wedding or bridal photoshoot, and finally on Monday I finally got to try it out in person.
- WHOAH!!! Rosie, you've aced these! Gorgeous. Well done x
- Thanks Chanelle! Benita - yeah it was a great hotel! I had to arrange it in advance, I think if you just turn up somewhere you are definitely going to run into problems which could be a disaster if you had a whole team with you ready to shoot! :)
- Oh my heavens! These were shot at a hotel? What an awesome hotel! I'm so happy to see I'm not the only one using natural/available light only. (All the time). Question - did you have to get a release for or some sort from/for the hotel in order for you to shoot there? I've always wondered about that. Fabulous work. As always! :D xox
- Rosie, I love these. So stunning!

I was very pleased this morning to receive an email from County Wedding Magazines saying that one of my past shoots had been chosen for the cover of Your Surrey Wedding Magazine. It was ages ago that I’d spoken with them about it, so a really nice surprise on this lovely sunny morning!

global msc { corporate }
Although I mainly cover weddings, I do also cover other types of photography from time to time. Last week I was up near Reading to cover a corporate event for Global MSC Security who specialise in surveillance equipment. It was really strange to be taking a photograph of something and then suddenly see live footage of me taking the...
flo & percy { recommended suppliers }
I’ve borrowed quite a few pieces from vintage bridal jewellery specialists Flo & Percy for my shoots before. I had these pieces waiting to be sent back from my last graffiti brides shoot and thought I’d get a few closeups. They are really lovely pieces, and Kirstie who runs Flo & Percy is so great - definitely take a peek at her website if you’re looking for something special (and original) to wear on your wedding day!
hurrah for sarah! { recommended vendors }
Huge congratulations to the lovely Sarah Brock, Director of Makeup Artistry for Daniel Sandler! Sarah is the makeup artist who I’ve worked with on many of my bridal fashion shoots (and is such a fantastic person!). She just won the Professional Beauty Awards at a very glamorous London ceremony on March 2nd and is now the ‘Makeup Specialist of the Year 2009′!

The Cotswolds is so nice!! I can see why so many people love going on holiday there. Jonathan and Ela are getting married at the Bay Tree Hotel in Burford, just near Witney - so last Wednesday I popped up there to take a look around their venue with them before the big day. At...

tony & zoe { wedding }
Last weekend I accompanied the lovely Sarah Vivienne on shooting one of her weddings up in Northampton at Kelmarsh Hall. The weather was great, and it was so nice to take a back seat on the photography, just lurking about taking some creative shots! I especially love the one of Tony and Zoe when we...
